I am a seasoned speech pathologist with experience in many different venues. However, no matter the setting, my interest and focus is always about the patient. I am passionate about improving your quality of life through speech therapy services.  

 

I graduated from Wake Forest University in 1984 with a degree in physics but was unsatisfied with my job prospects. I had been volunteering since I was in high school and genuinely loved helping people. I decided to return to graduate school and obtained my Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1987, and then took my first job in Sarasota, Florida. I have since worked in several cities in Florida, but have been based in Ocala, Florida since 2000. 

 

I have been blessed to have helped many people in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home health. After a lengthy career working for other organizations, I am thrilled to bring my clinical skills to Magnolia Speech Pathology, LLC.  I am a firm believer in person-centered and evidence-based practice to achieve the maximum level of progress possible. I look forward to helping you reach your speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
